We are partnering with Break Free Expeditions to offer another fabulous international volunteering opportunity to Mexico in 2012. Last year, a group from Melbourne built a home for Veronica and her family in June 2011 and we're going again in 2012. This is a humanitarian trip where we build homes for our partner on the ground in Mexico which is a Christian based organisation.
We believe the Bible encourages us to love our neighbour and this trip is a practical expression of our conviction. We welcome anyone, regardless of their beliefs, to join us and make a difference to people in Mexico.
NO PRIOR BUILDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
As well as building, we will also have opportunity to volunteer at local orphanages, schools, women's refuges and a drug and alcohol detox centre. This is a remarkable opportunity to experience another culture, meet some amazing people, and have a great time.
Break Free Expeditions is an experienced volunteer tourism operator and provides safe, quality and affordable volunteering placements building homes for the poor in the slums of Mexico.
The trip will cost $1,950 excluding airfares (this includes a $550 building materials contribution) if registered 28th February or before and $2250 if registering after 1st March.
We're planning to leave Australia on 15th September 2012 and return on 24th September. We fly from Brisbane to Los Angeles. However you are welcome to arrive earlier or stay longer in the US.
An information session will be held in early February.
