Note: this film has been rated MA15+ for graphic wartime violence - it is intended for mature audiences.

Hacksaw Ridge is directed by Mel Gibson and tells the true story of a US Army medic, Desmond T Doss. Desmond refused to bear arms, yet was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Harry S Truman for single-handedly saving the lives of over 75 of his comrades while under constant enemy fire during the Battle of Okinawa in World War II.

It's a story of faith and conviction, that explores the apparent contradictions of a man who felt compelled to join the Army yet not fight.
