We’re thrilled to again be bringing you the Life@Work Conference fully online (and fully live).

But we’ve heard your feedback, and so in 2023 we will be introducing five live sites around Australia. Join others at a Hub in either Brisbane, Hobart, Perth, Melbourne, or Sydney for networking opportunities and live presentations (more details below). Here’s what’s in store:

The working world has gone through a shake up in the last few years, the likes of which we haven’t experienced in our lifetime. New technologies. New ways of working. And at times new challenges unique to Christians. This can be unsettling, but also exciting!

How might the Christian faith help us reimagine a better way to work? A way that enables us to continue to love our colleagues and share Jesus. And cope with the increased feelings of tiredness and exhaustion many of us are feeling.

Join us at Life@Work Conference 2023 as we discover the answers. Feel confident to be a Christian in your daily work, in spite of uncertainty!

SPEAKERS

In 2023, we’re excited to be joined by Keynote presenters Daniel Sih (Spacemakers co-founder), Geoff Brailey (McCrindle Research), Sam Chan (City Bible Forum), Kara Martin (Workship author) Hi Josh (social media influencer), with Bible teaching from Andrew Laird (City Bible Forum). Plus we’ll be joined by other workers throughout the day to help us explore how we can be confident in the face of a changing working world. Check out our program.

Dr. Sam Chan is one of Third Space's national communicators. He is a cultural analyst, theologian, public speaker, author, medical doctor, and karaoke buddy. Sam was born in Hong Kong, grew up and lives in Australia, studied medicine at the University of Sydney, and did his PhD in Chicago, USA. He is a published author of five books.

Kara is the author and editor of several books about faith and work. She is a lecturer with Mary Andrews College and Adjunct Professor with Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Boston. Kara has previously worked in media and communications, human resources, business analysis and policy development roles. She has presented, taught and run workshops in churches and theological colleges in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the US, New Zealand and throughout Australia

Andrew Laird works for City Bible Forum in Melbourne and directs Life@Work - an initiative aimed at connecting Christian faith with our daily work. He’s also the author of a book, Under Pressure: how the gospel helps us handle the pressures of daily work.

Daniel Sih is an award-winning author, TEDx speaker, and the founder and CEO of Spacemakers®, a productivity consulting group for busy leaders. Daniel has a broad professional history, includes leadership roles in physiotherapy, health management, project management, Christian ministry and CliftonStrengths® coaching. Daniel lives in Tasmania, with his wife, Kylie, and their three children, Naomi, Caleb and Jethro.

Geoff is a social researcher, strategic advisor and Director of Solutions at the internationally recognised McCrindle Research. With post-graduate qualifications in leadership and extensive experience in managing people, Geoff excels in how organisations can effectively engage diverse and intergenerational teams. He regularly appears on prominent television programs such as Seven News, A Current Affair and Ten EyeWitness News, as well as on radio, and in print and online media.
