The Panic Room! - Episode 8
In a great article by Carl Trueman called 'Deaths Delayed' the author says this:
"We have clearly become accustomed to remarkably comfortable lives. How else do we explain fights in supermarkets over toilet paper?... And I have often wondered about the significance of “saving lives.” “ Delaying deaths,” while culturally tasteless, is technically more accurate. We are born to die. Death is inevitable, which is why each of us finds it so terrifying."
COVID-19 is bringing to light our culture's fear of death. But there is a solution to this problem. There has in fact been a death of death. In this episode, David and Stephen discuss the fear of death, and the death of death.
