Is hustle culture finally over? About a decade ago, hashtags such as #success and #workharderrestlater started appearing on Instagram posts, mugs, posters, office walls, you name it!
But there's been a shift.
We are recognising that hashtags won't save us when a crisis hits.
We are recognising that going beyond our limits has a deadly cost to it.
More importantly, the pandemic years has caused us to question whether we're really in control of our lives. For example, no amount of hustling can change the weather. So what hope do we have to gain purpose and peace in life?
The Bible describes God as being a help to all who feel weary and helpless.
The God of the Bible is one who does not sleep, yet watches over us as we sleep (Psalm 121:4). He is the one who can offer peace to the restless (John 14:27).
Let us replace hustle culture with a culture of peace and dependance on an Almighty God.
