The Next Trip

The hope of looking forward to something new
Topics

I know some people who recently came back from an excellent overseas holiday. They had a wonderful time, but after sharing about it, one of them said:

"I need to plan another trip to look forward to something."

And it's true! We thrive on hope and looking forward to something. But unfortunately, there will be a day when we'll be unable to go on the next overseas trip. Due to health or age, we just won't be able to travel.

So, will that be the end of hope?

Well, if our hopes are tied to the things of this world, then yes, maybe it will be the end of hope. But the beauty of the Christian message is that

through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, there is a living hope; a hope that can never be extinguished.

That's far better than any overseas holiday, no matter how fantastic.
