Playing to Win
The recent Ashes cricket test series has been full of drama (and of course, the usual rivalry). Midway through it all, I sent a message to my Australia brother who lives in England, jokingly asking if he was okay. His reply surprised me—apparently, his English colleagues were loving this series, even though they were losing.
He said it was something about England actually trying to win, rather than trying not to lose!
When I read his message, I thought to myself: you know, life is often like that!
Sometimes we feel like we're trying to win, other times it feels like a case of just trying not to lose.
But no matter how we feel life is going, for those who trust in Jesus, ht result is already decided:
Jesus will reign forever as the perfect King, and we can be citizens of His perfect Kingdom simply by trusting in Him.
Not sure if you're winning in life, or just trying not to lose? Get on board with Jesus—the outcome is already decided!
