What would you do if you were stranded in the desert?
This happened to my wife and I when we camped by a waterhole in the Australian outback.
In the morning we packed up our camp and I tried starting the vehicle. But it wouldn’t start. The battery was dead. I tried push-starting the car, but I nearly pushed the vehicle into the waterhole!
We were stranded in the outback.
We waited for an hour on that desert track before another vehicle came. They helped us start our car and we drove to the next town.
The man in that vehicle was our saviour.
We were helpless, we had done nothing to deserve being rescued - it was by his grace we had been saved.
Just like Jesus’ saving his people - they are helpless, but are saved by the grace of God.
