From green screens to face swapping and face manipulation, deep fakes probe our version of reality, revealing biases and blindspots. After all, the most shared deep fakes are the ones that confirm what many already think - whether it’s Elon’s investment in crypto, the fabricated Trump arrest, explicit Tay Tay pics or war footage. Each deep fake is believed by those who want to believe it. That’s what makes them even more dangerous.

So what are the spiritual deep fakes that threaten Christian young workers today? What are the lies that warp our identity in Christ? What are the viral fakes that probe our version of reality for biases and blindspots?

Join us at Headstart as we de-fake a deep fake each Monday in July. This Monday, we are probing the topic of evangelism by de-faking this lie: "My friends need me to tell them what to believe".
