SAVING MONEY: how to save without feeling selfish or stingy

With the cost of living crisis, more young workers are feeling the squeeze. In fact, two of the top 5 fears from McCrindle's report into young workers relate to saving money. The highest fear was "not having enough money to live comfortably" (65%) and the final fear was "never being able to buy their own home" (47%).
So what is the extra level of protection we need as we seek to save money? How do we balance saving for a home which isn't selfish and how to we have enough to live comfortably, and yet not be stingy? How does faith in Jesus help us to minimise future pain by allowing to front-load our focus now?
Join us for Saving Money: how to save without feeling selfish or stingy, as we kick off the first week of Headstart's 2FA: the extra (but inconvenient) level of protection we need.
Why is this term of Headstart called 2FA?
Ever since its introduction, 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) is the step we all groan at taking. The step is time consuming, annoying and a hassle.
But we all know someone who has been scammed, whose account has been hacked, whose identity has been compromised. Unwinding and recovering from that is even more time consuming, annoying and the hassle, even greater.
Through 2FA, we have more confidence to make daily transactions from bank transfers, sending emails to buying stuff online with a credit card. 2FA creates a safe space. 2FA minimises future pain by frontloading our focus now.
That is the reason why we have called Term 2 of Headstart - 2FA: the extra (but inconvenient) level of protection we need. In this term, we want to create a safe space for young workers to help each other live for Jesus in the workplace. But more than that, in term 2, we want to minimise future pain by front-loading our focus and effort now.
