Bible reference(s): Luke 10

The saying ‘time is money’ is no longer strictly true. Time is now more valuable than money. Volunteering in Australia has decreased over the last few decades – and the number of hours people volunteered for has also declined. People are more likely to pay for others to do roles that were once performed by volunteers, rather than volunteer themselves.

What do you think?

Radical, extravagant love in a busy world is to spend our time for the sake of others.

But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
Luke 10:29

But a Samaritan, as he travelled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
Luke 10:33-35
