We share our biology with our pets.
But our pets don't seem to spend too much time pondering the deep questions of life. Questions that life throws up at us, and which we feel we have a need to answer.
The answers are not found in biology. Even Richard Dawkins, a champion for evolutionary biology, claims "I despise Darwinian natural selection as a motto for how we should live." If biology isn't the answer, then where do the answers lie?
